Here's our round-up of some of the best chocolate events happening this year in the UK; from foodie festivals to chocolatey workshops to fashion shows.
Sometimes a quiet night in on the sofa, tucked up with a good book and that all important square of luxurious chocolate, isn't enough. Sometimes you need to be totally surrounded by it!
1. The Chocolate Festival
The Chocolate Festival has something for everyone, showcasing the highest quality artisan chocolates alongside a magical array of chocolate treats. From stalls selling chocolate cake to chocolate pretzels, even the most serious of chocoholics will be satisfied.
The festival will be popping up in venues in Oxford, Brighton, Bristol and London from the 4th - 6th December 2015.

2. The York Chocolate Festival
The city of York has a long and distinguished history with the world of chocolate. Some of the world's most renowned chocolate dynasties were born and continue to thrive in the beautiful city. The York Chocolate Festival aims to celebrate this history with stalls, workshops, demonstrations and a whole host of other activities.
We may have missed the 2015 festival, but that doesn't mean we can't start planning our pilgrimage for the next!

3. Chocolate Week
National Chocolate Week is a date that every discerning chocolate lover should have in their diary. The 2015 week-long celebration takes place from 12th-18th October with events taking place across the country.

4. Screen Bites, Dorset
The original premise for Screen Bites was to combine tastings of local artisan food with the screenings of food-themed films. To celebrate National Chocolate Week, they will be hosting a delicious chocolate themed evening on 17th October; a mini-farmers market with the best of Dorset's chocolate producers followed by a showing of the documentary 'Nothing Like Chocolate'.

5. Harvey Nichols 'Choctober'
Harvey Nichols will be celebrating National Chocolate Week by dedicating the entire month of October to all things chocolate. They will be hosting expert chocolatiers from around the world, experimenting with chocolate cocktails and putting on a dazzling array of events.

6. The Chocolate Show
The Chocolate Show is the grand finale of Chocolate Week and will be set in the Olympia National Hall, London between 16-18th October. Not only will there be talks and demonstrations by some of the leading chocolate chefs and cocoa experts, but there will also be an array of tastings, workshops, and even a fashion show with outfits made entirely out of chocolate.

7. Chocolate Ecstasy Tours
If tasting tours are more your cup of tea, our favourite is the Chocolate Ecstasy Tours where you will learn not only the history of chocolate in each area, but get to sample some of the best chocolate that they have to offer. Tours are all year round in various London locations, Brighton & York.

8. Taste of London Festival
Although this is strictly not a chocolate festival, Taste of London, 17th-21st June, will showcase the outstanding work from some of the city's best restauranteurs and chefs, and we can guarantee there will be a fair share of delectable chocolate treats on offer.
